I found the "Jefferson Green" chess set after conducting a Google search for "Jefferson chess sets" (having recently concluded a weekend trip to Monticello). The Jefferson Green came up and I found "The Chess Piece" as a result. I wished to obtain a replica of the Jefferson/Madison chess set to give as a retirement commemorative for one our Nation's senior unsung heroes this fall. Steve Livingstone at the site gave me prompt, highly personalized, service as I sought not the green/white, but the red/white of the Jefferson period. In very short order, Steve came through and I am now happily in possession of my treasure! Steve continues to help me in my quest to replicate the playing board and to obtain a period-correct chess piece storage case. This company is fantastic!
