This is a new Staunton design in ebony and boxwood featuring a very nicely carved, unostentatious set of pieces which includes a new storage chest design and is exclusive to this store.

The boxwood pieces are typically 'creamy' in appearance partly accentuated by the bees wax that is used to bring out the sheen.

And a closeup of the carving of the knights showing great proportioning and character!

This picture shows the knights from all directions so that you can see the fullest details in the carving.

When viewed from a different angle this chess set takes on a different perspective.

And the set can also be viewed from above the chessboard to see how the base diameters work with the recommended chessboard that has been designed for this set to provide good contrast.

The pieces seen from above give you a good idea as to how these chess pieces 'fit' on the board.

A good angled view never goes amiss either!

Viewing the chess pieces from the side shows a lot of detail with respect to the piece proportioning and gives you the feeling of being inside this chess set!
