What could be deemed as a marine biologist's dream chess set this hand carved in camel bone, this 32 piece set has a combination of pieces in deep blue and ivory color white. We are told it takes two months for each set to be made by a single artisan in India.

The King height is 5 1/4" and has a base diameter of 1 3/4 with felt pads. We recommend a board size with minimum 2" squares such as that shown. Here's a picture showing the Kings and Queens of both sides:

This set of 32 pieces is supplied without the board shown which is typical for a collector set like this.

The natural mussel chessboard measuring 23" x 23" with 2 1/8" squares may be purchased separately as the option shown. Please also note that the picture shows a typical set and being entirely hand made there may be slight color and carving variation in the set that we ship.
