This is a very popular set that we introduced several years ago and this is one of our most popular items. It is a very elegant art deco stainless steel/copper plated combo design that is on a white metal substrate carefully selected and of a lead-free pewter. 



Featuring a 4" King with a 1 1/4" base, this chess set will grace any modern home. The copper chess pieces have been 'aged' to make them look more authentic looking. The pieces look great on the 17" x 17" golden rosewood chessboard shown with 1 3/4" squares. We also have other similar chessboard options but with darker rosewood squares which also looks very nice. Apartment dwellers who need more space can also buy the smaller versions of these chessboards which have 1 1/2" squares. This leaves a 1/4" clearance around the king's base.

This set was supplied by us and used in the US Television Series Fringe on Fox TV network a few years ago. It was used by guest Actor Leonard Nimoy who was loved by many, including notably Star Trek fans. We were so sorry to learn of his passing
